Alstom are a global leader in the provision of sustainable power and transport solutions. I have worked with them (through Freestyle Interactive) for a number of years, developling a wide range of online projects. I have helped them with their overall online strategy, their intranet, their corporate website, and various online marketing campaigns and micrsoites.

One of the most recent projects is Alstom Web TV. Alstom have a large amount of video content that is perfect for explainng their business, products and services. I worked with  designers and developers to develop a suitable online portal to deliver the video content.

Alstom Web TV uses some of the latest web development techniques to give  users a truly engaging experience. The site has been well received by all and is now an intrinsic part of Alstom’s online offering

What is UX design?

My friend and colleague, Paul Gataaura, recently asked me “Is UX design about fitting things into the correct place or is it about guiding the user to the information that they may find valuable? Or are these two considerations the same?”

That got me thinking about the difference between User Experience and Information Architecture.

The Thales group website is primarily aimed at investors, prospective and existing customers, press and potential employees. It offers its users everything you would expect from a huge multinational corporate website: global corporate messages, share price and financials, CSR, news, events, press releases, case studies, global locations and operations, careers, products and services, and global and local contacts.

TNT Business Solutions – B2B lead generation website

TNT offer a wide range of business solutions for medium size and large orgaisations, including facilities management, data scanning and archiving and intersite logsitics. The Business Solutions websites is a sales-focussed site that explains TNT’s service offer to potential customers and drives them along the sales process. Customer profiles created via registration are automatically tagged to match relevant site content and are also mapped to TNT’s SalesForce CRM system.
